Your New "Breast" Friend

Why did I not hear about these sooner??

O-Cal-Ette nursing cups may just be your new "breast" friends.

It just fits inside your bra, and you will never leak again!

Well... that's a lie.

You will leak, but your milk will fall into a special cup that collects your extra milk so you can actually USE it!

I remember wasting SO much milk after the births of both of my children. Think about all of the milk that gets absorbed and wasted when you letdown into cloth or disposable pads. Any breastfeeding mama knows that breast milk is worth it's weight in gold, so it's so neat to have an option to save every last drop. My friend Megan says she uses a syringe to take out the extra milk and save it for later.

O-Cal-Ette nursing cups are easy to use and clean--and they last for a long time, which is so nice, because I've tried these silicone nursing pads before... and they are nice, but they are so expensive and only last me for about 2 weeks. Can't keep that up for very long at that price.

The O-Cal-Ette cups are perfect for moms with a heavy milk flow, because they keep your nipple away from your clothes.

Translation: no more embarrassing leaks!!

...Including when you're feeding your baby, because you can use it on the opposite side that you are feeding to catch any extra dribbles. They allow air to flow to your nipples, which means less cracking and sore nipples. They are especially helpful if you are feeling engorged, because they apply a slight pressure to your breasts which relieves any extra milk into the cup.

It can also help eliminate the need for a nipple shield by correcting flat or inverted nipples.

Best part--they are only $12.95 on Amazon right now.* I think I'm going to pick up a couple of sets to give as baby shower gifts. I'm always struggling to find the perfect gift for expecting moms--one that is actually useful (how much baby lotion and newborn outfits can a girl get??) while at the same time not too expensive. I think this one nails it on the head.

If you'd rather have something you can just toss, and you're not too concerned about saving every last drop, these are the disposable nursing pads I always recommend--they're actually absorbent (unlike other brands) and don't have too much bulk.
